Agents With a Complete Thank-You Page Close 30% More Leads. Here's the Data.
Every realtime lead you buy lands on a thank-you page seconds after they submit the form. It shows your name, your photo, your title and a button to call or text you. We pulled the numbers on 274,000 leads delivered between May and August to see whether what's on that page changes what happens next. It does.
The Short Version
- +30% more closed leads recorded by agents whose page showed their title and photo, compared with a phone number alone.
- 62% of complete-page orders produced at least one sale. Phone-only orders: 50%.
- +$12,900 in additional annual premium per 1,000 leads, at the median policy our agents record.
- 1.5x the close rate for the best-performing titles versus the average title on the same lead type.
Some titles beat others by a wide margin. "Insurance Agent" and "Insurance Broker" were the two worst performers we measured.
What We Measured
We looked at every realtime lead delivered from May 1 to August 15, so every lead had at least 30 days to close. We grouped them by what the thank-you page showed at the time and counted the sales agents recorded on those leads in GOAT Leads. Aged leads never see a thank-you page, so they are not in these numbers.
Setting phone-only pages as the baseline of 100, here is how each addition performed:
Every lead type showed the same direction when a title was present:
Why It Works
A lead who just gave their information to a stranger is deciding whether to answer the phone. A page that shows a real person, with a name, a face and a title that matches what they asked about, answers the question "who is about to call me?" before the phone rings. A page with a bare phone number leaves them guessing.
We will be honest about one thing: agents who take the time to complete their profile are often the same agents who work their leads hardest and record their results most carefully. Some of the gap is that. But the gap held when we compared the same agent's complete and incomplete orders side by side, and it held inside every single lead type. The page matters.
Not All Titles Are Equal
Here is the part that surprised us. We ranked every title agents used against the average for the lead type it was used on, so a Veteran title is only compared with other Veteran orders.
The pattern is clear. A title that names the product the lead asked about plus a word that says you are an expert in it wins. "Veteran Specialist" on a Veteran lead. "Final Expense Specialist" or "Benefit Advisor" on a Final Expense lead. Generic titles lose, and "Insurance Broker" loses the most, on every lead type we checked.
More than 850 agents on our platform currently use "Insurance Agent." If that is you, changing one field could be the easiest improvement you make this year.
What To Do Right Now
It takes about two minutes.
- Open Lead Settings. Click Settings in the left menu, open Profile & Preferences, then Lead Settings.
- Upload a photo. On the Profile page, click the camera icon on your Account Profile card. A clear, friendly headshot; a phone selfie in good light is fine. This is the field most agents are missing: six out of ten agents with live orders today have no photo on their page.
- Set your title. In Lead Settings, type it into Display Agent Title. Pick one that names your product and your expertise: Veteran Specialist, Final Expense Specialist, Benefit Advisor, Licensed Insurance Broker.
- Check your phone number. Display Agent Phone is the number leads will call and text, so make it the one you actually answer.
- Save Lead Defaults. The checklist above the fields turns green as you go. Every order you place from now on carries these to your thank-you page automatically.
If you have live orders running today, your new photo already shows on them. Your title applies to new orders, so if you want it on an order that is already running, message support and we will update it for you.
One more thing: record your sales in GOAT Leads. Most agents don't, which means the close rates we can see are far below what agents actually achieve. Logging a sale takes ten seconds on the lead, and it is the only way to see your real return by lead type, by order and by title.
What's Coming
Starting this week the order form and your Lead Defaults page will suggest proven titles for the lead type you buy, so you can pick one with a tap. We will re-run these numbers in mid-October and share what changed.
The leads are the same. What they see when they land is up to you.
Method: 274,534 realtime leads assigned May 1 to August 15, 2026, each at least 30 days old at measurement. A close is a sale the agent recorded on the lead in GOAT Leads; agents who do not log sales are not visible to us, so the comparisons are what matter. Premium figure uses the median annualized premium of recorded policies, $1,215, times the extra recorded closes per 1,000 leads. Title ranking limited to titles with at least 1,000 leads and 10 different agents.
